During the period from June 28, 2010 through July 4, 2010, six fixed base CAMP units and two portable CAMP units were in-use and measured total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) and particulates (PM10). Fifteen-minute averages for both TVOC and PM10 data remained in the Operational Condition. On Monday, June 28, 2010 and Tuesday, June 29, 2010, periods of elevated PM10 concentrations at Fixed Air Monitoring Site 1 (FAM 1) were measured and were attributable to high relative humidity. On Tuesday, June 29, 2010, elevated PM10 concentrations were attributable to exhaust from a generator in the vicinity of FAM 1 as well as high relative humidity. All elevated concentrations were reduced below the Action Limit after background subtraction.. The Weekly Report that summarizes the CAMP data can be found as a separate tab in the Weekly Report Archive section.
For the holiday week of July 6, 2010 through July 9, 2010, Cap material deliveries along with final grading and Cap installation activities are scheduled to continue in the central and eastern part of the Site. Tent Position #15 Shallow Excavation activities are scheduled to continue with off-site transport and disposal of impacted soils at approved and permitted disposal facilities. Flushing and grouting operations of the on-site Waterloo BarrierTM interlocking steel sheet piling are scheduled to be completed. Odor and dust suppression activities will be conducted, as necessary. Work zone delineation, site maintenance activities, CAMP operation monitoring activities will continue, and noise and vibration monitoring activities will continue, as necessary.
